Presidio Visitor Center
There was genius in their vision. The challenge was that there were three distinct visions at the conception of the Presidio Visitor Center in San Francisco, California. The National Park Service interprets our parks, the Presidio Trust orients people to destinations and the Parks Conservancy offsets operational costs with retail sales. Each has an equal stake in the project. Macchiatto found consensus in unifying these requirements throughout the space, while maintaining the independent identities of the diverse client group. This culminated in a unique and innovative visitor gateway experience along the Main Post, the cultural and historical heart of the Presidio.
